Description

This fireplace was cast by Barnard Bishop and Barnard in Norwich, they developed the work of their designer, Thomas Jekyll, to create Celtic inspired designs.  This fireplace design is known as the 'Cartwheel' or 'Celtic".  It came from a property local to the Norwich area.

It has been stripped of many layers of paint and finished in a traditional cast iron paste.

Condition

The front bars have breaks in each corner, these are only noticeable under close scrutiny. There is no damper present. The fireplace remains strong and robust.
