Antique 19th Century Stove / Woodburner Surround
Description
This is an original reclaimed 19th century wood burner surround. This is quite a rare item as not many were cast by the Godin foundry.
It has been stripped of many years of paint and finished in a traditional cast iron paste. A metal plate with the circumference of the flue cut out will need to be attached to the front. The central space that accommodates the plate had cast lugs in the surround allowing the plate to be fixed.
The different components of the surround hook together, along with 2 bolts to help secure it. As the components need to be assembled it helps for ease of transport. Please see last photo of the breakdown of the components.
